This Month's Projects
Rigging Basics: fav.me/d593kai
Production Modeling: fav.me/d593jbz
Confirmed grades. I completed Compositing Fundamentals with a 95.5%. Very easy class. Fundamentals of Animation on the other hand is a 87.4%. Disappointed, but the grade is rightfully so. I could have done a better job with my animation projects, but with a subjective subject, there's a much wider gap to get from B to A. I just need to keep working hard, and I will be fine...academically.
The learning how to rig, script, and use ZBrush was not my biggest worry this month. After summer break, my biggest worry was paying for school. I did not know that in order to get a student loan without a cosigner, I would need an annual income of $12,000 that I have not time for. Here I thought based on my credit scores and academic standing, I wouldn't need a cosigner. Well I was wrong. Worse part, no one I have asked can or will cosign for me. I'm currently waiting on one last attempt to approve a loan without a cosigner before I ask my grandfather to reconsider. If there is one thing I don't want to do is quit school because I am an independent 25 year old student with a high credit and GPA, but no job, and can't pay for college. I've been here 8 months, and I have about 13 months left. I now have a roommate, and I have work study and being a tour guy one weekend a month to help my finances. So I am doing all I can to get school paid for. I'd hate to stop working hard for my dream because of finances. I've calculated if I get this loan, I can survive about 7 more months before I scream for help, otherwise I'll be screaming in less than a month for help. But enough of my worries. Even through the stress and the time taken aware to take care of finances, I did well in both classes. The ZBrush final could have been better, but I did what I could, and best I can do is practice on my own time.
Next month is Character Rigging, aka "CRI." It is my first class that I go to 5 days a week, my first advanced class, and is the next level of rigging and scripting after Rigging Basics. Once I can get my finances cleared, I can go back to full focus and pass another class. Wish me luck. And if anyone is willing to help me stay in school, feel free to send me money via my Paypal account: whaddaguy15@yahoo.com. I will thank you. Wish me luck on the rest of my endeavors.

Working Hard
Since my last journal entry in February, I have been looking for work. I hadn't had much luck sitting and waiting in Missouri, so I moved to Los Angeles and been here for about two months now, working at a motion capture studio. We are finishing up a project, and I have check coming afterwards.
Life's Chicken And The Egg
There's been two parts in my life I wondered what would come first. It was the car or the job when I was 16, now it is the move or the career. Thanks to my dad, the car came first, and the job shortly followed soon after. My dad is also helping me with job leads, which I am thankful for, and we are still looking. With student loans just around the corner, I'm beginning to wonder, "Should I take the leap of faith and move to Los Angeles?" The benefits of having a local address would be exponential to the search, and yet if a career is not also around the corner, what happens to me then?
I must keep up with what I believe in, that everyth
It's All About Balance
Job hunting, working on projects, and the usual everyday eat, sleep, relax. It's tough to take a handle on things when life was planned for you for so long, then you are out on your own. Needless to say, I've always been a man with a plan. It helps knowing what you want to do, writing it down, then scheduling which to do first in order of priority.
I have plans to update my website with drop down menus and additional videos, displaying my Advanced Achiever Speech, the article written about me in a local newspaper back home, and future plans of Biography videos, expanding the details of my life and how I got to where I am today. Projects p
Big Challenge Forced Me To Disappear
Hello fellow Deviants.
Wow, last entry November of last year. Yeah something happened that took away my blogging time. I was taking my Animation test during my absence. I had to pass that in order to make it to finals. From March to August was finals, which leaves December to February to explain. Well I was thinking about what I wanted to do for my demo reel, a compilation video that sums up my best work to show to employers. I wanted to add motion capture to my reel (realistic motion as computer data), so I was brainstorming ideas. I had the daring idea to invite a music artist to Full Sail for a motion capture experience. It was to
